Section talk, like Brian always organized ;)

Some issues were like latecoming (Yuchen, again -.-), being irritating (guess who) and of course, the newer sec 3s and 1s wishing for parts to play/better parts. Oh well, survival of the fittest... gaaaaah me not fit :'(

Anyway shan't dwell upon the miseries of our section. Just to say that the newer sec 3s rock (learning at Eugene speed, playing double strokes faster than me, oh dear...), bet they can replace me anytime, anywhere.

Meanwhile getting started on drumset was extremely pressurizing, considering how the Cheungsters forced me into playing it *cries*, and the people surrounding me. Brian, Kinchun, Eugene, and the sec 3s + 1s staring at me. To complicate matters, Jerald juuust had to come at the right time. Graaagah. Oh well. Basic rhythm netted, and realization of my psychomotor being as weak as Kinchun's.

more or less finished the xylo part. tihs is gonna be my first time playing the xylo for an event XD juz realised. i didnt do any xylo for this year/last year. had fun duetting with ben at the end so fun WOOO HOOO. it's amazing how our timing's so together most of the time.

but yep, there's still room of improvement. Zum Beispiel, my spastic left hand XD.

I don't remember Brian, or any other perc sec 4 this year being confident about leading the section, bringing us to greater heights, bonding everyone etc etc.

So even after this, we should try to repeat that this (and next) year. If we could do it, why can't we do it again this year?

I think we're going to play Ein Sommernachtstraum. Jerald loooves it xD German and wedding song :)
Timpani + 4 mallets + Crash. Shouldn't be too hard to manage with 8 people. The parts aren't difficult either, except for the marimba "rolling" and the speed (2/2 time! Jerald's nightmare xD)

What I lived for

Wow kewl layout... but we should take our own pics of the mallets and sticks for the background rather than ripping it off from somewhere...Anyway to all those wentao wannabes, one of the tricks to faster paradiddles is to take more note of ur wrist and arm movements than u usually will. True that fingers are impt, but theres a limit to how fast fingers make ur sticks move, as u will need to move once for each stroke, but if u move ur wrists and arms instead u can move once per quaver. Hope that helps :D

Today's soccer was screwed. How to win against steven and wenxuan??? Oh well. At least I learnt that Dhruv makes a decent goalie and Ferdian plays soccer VERY well, contrary to what he might say. But I'd rather spend that hour practising my paradiddles.

Because I am taking a break from work. Well not actually facts since I'm not double checking with Wikipedia or anything..

RIMB Perculiars: one big family

Hi this is my first blog and i do not really noe how to use this features. k
Now i noe a bit more(edited) K this is the first(or maybe the second if u count the post bef edited), anyway blogging is quite new and fun to me :)

I couldn't find my collar pin this morning.

Shit. I think I lost it.

Okayyy... first sec 1 perc to come online will get the perc blog address.

Although it makes sense that RGS should help us with perc instruments (since they used it too), I guess it was their teacher i/c which forced them to do that. If it was really out of their kindness... as someone said (I think David or Matthew) we have to be ashamed of ourselves.
No more events this year right? Hope so. If not we will have no time to train the newcomers.
And Kinchun, try to stretch the sec 1s as faaaaar as you can. During REACT when I was (jokingly) asking Yuchen to try out some parts he shrugged and said "Har? Too difficult". I mean, no one will blame you if you play wrongly, like Brian said. But you don't even want to try~ and it's nothing near playing the drumset/timpani.
And sadly none of the station games involved water (REACT). *sigh*
Something Kinchun forgot to mention: I like the RJC SL (oopsie what's the name?) 's idea of eating with our insturuments. Feed them! And then I realised I forgot to take a spoon -.-

The memories of our earlier years... Back when there were Friday recruit pracs in Sec 1. When we would both be doing nothing while the batch practiced.. Those times Adriel took us into classrooms to train our strokes.. Those made up most of my lower sec years.. How boring it must have been for him (now I know).

Today was lilies by on the river.

Didn't have to remind me... anyway our first sectionals without sec 4s coming will arrive soon. Wonder what will change.

Yes our final performance, group hug all six of us minus Wentao (leaver!) and some photos to place in that... um... precioussss album.

Oh and irritating Yuchen kept messing with the glock metal part, kept taking them up and slanting it. When I stared at him he shrugged, smiled and just said "Very fun". Haha. Makes me feel like pumping him.

Oh yes and today I realised how important a perc QM is. Wonder what Brian does every event we have... ouch. Yay first of my batch to ride the lorry!!! xD But it's not fun when three sec 3s who overpower you sit in the same cabin and torture you... shall leave Kinchun to elaborate.

Jerald why didn't you go for batch lunch??? If you were there Brian would have poked you instead of me.. I guess. *ahem*

During the performance some old man came to me (during the playing of Mag men (I was at the glock)), and gave me that smile that makes you think he's enjoying our music. Hmmm...

Si Kai seems cute in band, but has annoying fingers in chat. Spamming, and turning tables over is his strong point. Oh and did I mention his library... of books? Also of emoticons? Irritating. This year's sec 1s are weird. Like that Brian (or Bryan?) that talks about Quantum Physics and whatnot...

Anyway bye bye sec 4s. We'll miss you~ DO COME BACK OFTEN xD
